With the Billabong Pro Tahiti just around the corner Red Bull have returned with their seventh instalment of ’21 Days’, this time going behind the lives of Tahitian home favourite Michel Bourez and former world tour competitor Nathan Hedge.

For The Spartan, it’s a chance to regain some precious ground in the arduous World Title race after a disappointing result in South Africa. It’s the sole event to take place his home country and one that he’s experienced a strange run of bad luck at in the past.

For Hedgy, the powerful goofy-footer continues to focus on his ambitious return to elite surfing. A former WCT competitor, Nathan fell off the tour and into a dark and dangerous lifestyle of partying. But he’s straightened himself out and emerged a new man – having already competed in the event as a wildcard last year, the Hog will no doubt be looking to cause a few upsets.
